We have been on the House Floor since 10 am this morning, debating the State budget for the next two years. As I write this, we are debating amendment 87 of a proposed 246 amendments. We have been told to expect to be debating the amendments until early Friday morning.
You can rest assured that I will be hard at work, securing funds to ensure that House District 74 gets our fair share! #txlege #texas #HD74 … See MoreSee Less

April 21st is a very special day for former and current students of Texas A&M University. Today, Aggies around the world are encouraged to participate in Muster. Aggies should reach out to former and current students to spend time together remembering their times in Aggieland, and to remember those who have passed before them.
I am proud to represent hundreds of Aggies residing in House District 74, and encourage those who reside in our district to participate in this event however you are able (while adhering to CDC COVID-19 protocol). #txlege #texas #HD74 #tamu … See MoreSee Less

Today, Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all counts, including murder, in the death of George Floyd. I am a proud supporter of law enforcement, but even the proudest supporters cannot stand by the method that former officer Chauvin used in the arrest and death of George Floyd. As we move forward, it is my hope that officers like Derek Chauvin will be weeded out. Officers like Chauvin make it difficult for the peace officers who care and protect their communities day-in and day-out.
My heart goes out to the Floyd family, and it is my hope that the family can take some comfort in knowing that justice has been served. #txlege #GeorgeFloyd #HD74 … See MoreSee Less
